The rotten bottom attaches the lead to the loop, and the loop is then pushed through the eye of the lead. You seldom need to fish at any distance and at some marks species like wrasse can be more or less under your feet.Before fishing any shore mark, rough ground marks in particular, it is a good idea to visit the area at low water. If there is any lateral tide or swell consider using a grip lead, which will anchor your end rig firmly, preventing it from dragging into snags. If you are unfamiliar with the mark, it is also very important to try to pick out any area where the flooding tide could cut off your retreat. Rock marks are certainly not the places to use complex rigs with lots of swivels, bait-clips and beads, all of which will increase the rig's snagging potential. Look for features like gullies, weed beds, or patches of sand sandwiched between kelp beds. A small nail pushed through a '/4in diameter polyball is then inserted through the loop of nylon, to hold it secure during casting. If long-range fishing is necessary, it is important to ensure that the lead will not break away from the rotten bottom during casting. It is far better to use a heavier lead, which will hit the bottom and stay put.
The first stumbling block for many anglers preparing to tackle a rough-ground mark is the choice of end rig. One of the easiest ways to do this is to use a pulley rig tied from a minimum 501b bs line with a loop at the bottom. However, very few marks are totally unfishable, and often the most effective rigs for fishing rough ground marks are also the most basic. It is also inevitable that your line will get chaffed from constant contact with rocks, and chaffed 251b line will give you a far better chance of landing a big fish than damaged 151b line. End rigs should be tied as simply as possible.
The grip wires can even prevent the lead falling into tight crevices. You should expect to get snagged on the bottom from time to time, and you will need a fairly substantial main line to break even an 8lb rotten bottom. These are the places where items of food collect, and the places where the fish will feed once the tide has flooded. The new generation of high-speed-retrieve reels are better suited for this sort of work than small, baitcasting multipliers. Rigs should usually incorporate some sort of rotten bottom to attach the lead (try using an old spark plug) as this will break free if it becomes snagged.Many anglers make the mistake of using too light a main line when fishing rough ground.
The addition of a Precision casting process lead lift can further assist end-rig recovery over rough ground. In the latter case, lift the rig as high in the water as you can with one firm upward swoop of the rod.Too light a lead is another common mistake. Cost effective everyone has skin in the game
In Improv, there is a monster called the rules of improvisation& don't ask questions, don't block, don't play children, don't play old people, don't make jokes.An age old battle in improv that I believe resonates well with challenges we experience in the business world is the question of whether a team should have a coach or a director (in which case it should be called an ensemble).
In addition there's the third option of the self coached team, which I will call committee from here on forward.- Committee: Cost effective, everyone has skin in the game. I could go on for pages. (For extra credit: what would a director do? Right, the director should come prepared with a set of "do's". He lives in Vienna, Austria. This is as noble as it is difficult, especially when dealing with an entire cast of actors (or professionals for that matter).
The boss does in all likelihood not know better what needs to be done than the knowledge worker. Anything you observe about these? Right.- Coach: No stretch goal&. Because they think they have to (compare dog training literature!)So, the coach needs to provide enough guidance to keep the level of leadership at a comfortable level for the team (the composition of the team of course becomes important here too!). You get the idea. This is a term that you will find in management literature on "leadership", usually in combination with another term: voice.- Coach: Always (even in parallel with director), experimenting with new ideas, time of continuous change.
Committee: Cements status quo, high frustration potential. This is what the director does.Con's- Director: More restrictive, more static, "done" when objective achieved. If it is not provided, then the most insecure, the most risk averse, those that can worst handle uncertainty and change, will assume leadership roles.Role- Director: - "Mold" to vision.) Don'ts do not tell you what to do but that what you have been doing doesn't work.- Committee: Rotation, everybody takes turn coaching the team.fesch. The leader has a vision and he has a voice to inspire others to follow his vision.
At Second City the director will come to rehearsals with a vision, but the cast comes up with the content.- Committee: Familiar format with experienced cast.Well suited when- Director: Production quality ("broadway material"), time of fundamental change. You stand on stage thinking "I should not talk about this", and "shouldn't I be making stuff up instead of thinking what not to do?". I think that especially in times of great uncertainty people hunger for clear guidance.
